Juan Carlos Cambronero-Heinrichs

Juan Carlos by ST.jpgJuan Carlos is interested in microbial ecology, the effect of microorganism in the environment, biological interactions and microbial-insect symbiosis. Currently he aims to investigate the role of microbes in ambrosia beetles. He worked as an undergrad assistant in a team studying the microbiology of leaf-cutter ants and stingless bees, and as a young researcher in a department medical entomology in Costa Rica. He has also collaborated in projects related to bioremediation and the fate of organic pollutants, mainly pharmaceuticals and pesticides, in urban and agricultural wastewater.
